The Space is located at the bottom of the Isle of Dogs, a short bus ride from Canary Wharf and just across the river from Greenwich. You can reach us by driver-less DLR, by taking a Thames Clipper or the D7, 277 and 135 buses drop you at our door.

Tickets can be collected from our box office team 30 minutes before the start of the performance. The box office team will be based in the front of the theatre. Our seats are not numbered and our seating layout changes, so all tickets are for unreserved seating.

From Canary Wharf tube station

Turn left out of the station on to Reuters Plaza. Across the road in front of Jubilee Place, you’ll see bus stop L. Any bus going from this stop comes on to the Isle of Dogs.  The 277 or 135 to Crossharbour  or the D7 to Poplar . Our bus stop is called Crews St/The Space Theatre. Buses are frequent but we recommend allowing 20 minutes for wait and journey time combined. Please note, construction work in Canary Wharf means that sometimes buses go from different stops, so please check signs on stops.

From the Canary Wharf Elizabeth Line station 

Turn left at the top of the escalators and walk under the Adams Plaza Bridge towards Canada Place. Go up the stone stairs on your right just before the Canada Place entrance. At the top of the stairs you will walk past a large sculpture, turn right and go down the street to Bus Stop F just up ahead. Board the 277 or 135 to Crossharbour  or the D7 to Poplar. Our bus stop is called Crews St/The Space Theatre. Buses are frequent but we recommend allowing 20 minutes for wait and journey time combined. Please note, construction work in Canary Wharf means that sometimes buses go from different stops, so please check signs on stops.

From Mudchute DLR station

If arriving from Bank direction, turn right when getting off the train and walk up the stairs.  Follow the brick wall round and turn right down the stairs.  Bear right down Spindrift Avenue and keep walking to the end of this road.  Turn right on to Westferry Road and the Space is a few minutes up the road opposite Rose Stores Premier Express. It will take you approximately 10 minutes to walk from Mudchute station.

By Bus

You can get the D7 from Mile End or Poplar, the 277 from Mile End and the 135 from Old Street.  Our bus stop is called Crews Street/The Space Theatre.

By Bicycle

Our nearest bike docking station is on Spindrift Avenue.

By Car

Drive towards Canary Wharf on the A1261 and exit to the Isle of Dogs onto either Westferry Road or Manchester Road (A1206), both of which loop around to the theatre. The theatre is based on Westferry Road opposite Claude Street with access through the main double gates, which are opened when the bar begins service at 12pm daily. The Space has limited on-site parking on a first come first served basis, so for accessible parking, please email directly and we will aim to reserve you a space. There are nearby spaces for on-street parking (we advise checking local restrictions).

By Boat

Avoid the hustle and bustle by taking the scenic route along the river.  The Thames Clipper travels from Waterloo pier via Embankment, Blackfriars and London Bridge, to Masthouse Terrace Pier.  From the pier walk straight ahead down Napier Avenue.  At the end turn left on to Westferry Road, the Space is a 5 minute walk from here on the opposite side of the road.

At the Space:

We have flat access to all entrances and guide/assistance dogs are welcome. The entrance doors are 1100 mm wide. There is level access from the pavement and a cobbled area in the courtyard.

the Space Bar is located on the 1st floor at the rear of the building, which is accessible by the passenger lift in the bar foyer.

The performance space is located at the East End of Level 1 of Crossrail Place, next to Pergola on the Wharf. It is accessible by escalator and lift.

From Canary Wharf tube station

Exit the station on to Reuters Plaza. Turn right and head straight through the shopping centre on the ground level. Exit the shopping centre onto Adams Place and head towards Crossrail Place.

From the Canary Wharf Elizabeth Line station 

From the ticket hall level, take the Escalators or lift up to the top level. It’s right above you!

From Canary Wharf DLR station

Exit the platform level and exit the station onto North Colonnade. Turn right and walk down the street until you see a colourful, covered bridge. Take the Bridge across to Crossrail Place.

By Bus

Eastbound – You can get the D7 to Poplar (via All Saints), the 135 or the 277 to Crossharbour. The nearest stop is Canary Wharf (North Colonnade)

Westb0und – You can get the D7 to Mile End, the 277 to Dalston Kingsland or the 135 to Old Street. The nearest stop is Canada Square South. From the bus stop, walk along Upper Bank street (passing The Ivy and John Lewis) until you can enter Crossrail Place at street level on the right hand side of the road.

By Bicycle

The nearest bike docking station is at Import Dock, Canary Wharf

By Car

There are several public parking garages in Canary Wharf. Please be aware that they do charge for parking.

By Boat

The Space Bar, sitting above the Space at the back of the building, is the perfect place to enjoy a pre-show or post-show drink with friends, or bask in the evening sun in our beer garden. We run the bar in-house and are committed to delivering a high quality of service and affordable prices.
