Mabel Livestream

18 Sep - 18 Sep

Bleeding out in the street, Mercutio is visited by unfinished business. What he shared with his lover Mabel is easy to joke about… but may prove impossible to talk about.

As he lies dying, Mercutio immerses the audience in a cascade of scenes from his past. Here are two people on the edge of happiness with a baby on the way. To truly live, is to stay faithful to oneself and others.

What do we prioritise?
How do we know we’re not chasing the wrong future?
And perhaps, just maybe, our future is right in front of us.

Told through the eyes of one of Shakespeare’s most charismatic and tragic personalities, Mercutio. The Queen Mab speech is reinterpreted and transformed in this exploration of love, grief and what it means to make, have and desire a family in uncertain times.

Must we live through them? The people and their babies”
