Kensington’s Bottom is aQueeriod’ Drama (LGBT Period Drama) following the story of two protagonists and the lengths they go to, to ensure they can be with their forbidden lovers. Betsy Squires and Morris Bennett are close family friends, nothing more, nothing less, despite their families thinking or hoping otherwise. When Betsy confides in Morris, confessing her love for her parlour maid, Claurice, she is startled to find that Morris has similar feelings for a male colleague, John Frank. The pair hatch an idea to go along with their families’ arranged marriage plans, in the hope they can run away together, taking their forbidden lovers with them.

“It appeared to me, to be a sensation I had never once encountered. But a sensation that despite trying my utmost best to suppress, continued to blossom.”

“Morris, there are a lot of things in life that we should not do, or conditioned to believe we should not do. And yet, we do them anyway, that is the thrill of life.”
