Band For Life At The Roof Garden

22 Aug - 22 Aug

This event takes place at the Crossrail Place Roof Garden.

Band for Life is based in Bow, East London, and we believe that music brings people together; regardless of age, health, background, social situation, gender or ethnicity. The Project strives to create a culture of welcoming and openness through playing and sharing music together, drawing on the therapeutic effects of music making. We particularly welcome those experiencing mental health problems or who are socially isolated. We aim to both understand and support people’s issues whilst focusing on what people can do and achieve. We find that people benefit from participating in the project regardless of their level of musical experience or skill. Band for Life is facilitated by Sarah Wilson, a registered music therapist. It is one of a number of projects provided by The Methodist Church in Tower Hamlets seeking to offer hope and build communities of love within the borough. Our members age from 21-91 and we hope other people join in with us at Canary Wharf and feel the benefit as part of our special community too!

The Roof Garden performance programme is
