All In The Timing - Candlelit Reading
25 Apr - 25 AprJoin the Space for the latest of our candlelit rehearsed readings with a series of underperformed shorts by David Ives.
Between 1994 and 1996 this collection was the second most performed set of plays in the US after Shakespeare. Though in the UK they have been rarely performed and are deserving of a revival.
Continuing our series of Candlelit rehearsed readings, we are sharing selections from All In The Timing by David Ives. A meet-cute on loop until they get it right in Sure Thing; three monkeys have to write Hamlet in Words, Words, Words; the last hours of Leon Trotsky repeat to hysterical effect in Variations on The Death of Trotsky; New York construction workers reveal their mysterious hidden pasts in Mere Mortals and many more.
Presented by a team of talented actors and directors script-in-hand with minimal staging, this evening of shorts is a fantastic showcase of comedy, big brain busting ideas and outright silliness.
Tickets are FREE, although please do consider a donation to ensure we can keep producing theatre on the Isle of Dogs
