A Day To Remember

5 Aug - 9 Aug

Meet corner shop owners Roy and Debbie; a middle-aged couple discovering they have somehow managed to forget their own anniversary, and their struggle to agree on anything, nevermind where to go for their celebratory trip.

A wholesome, funny story of what it means to be stuck in a rut and just what it takes to get out of it; each scene is a sketch-like vignette hosting a different local, family member or customer roped into trying to solve their seemingly impossible task of finding a vacation spot.

Boasting drag queens, punks, new agers and the feared ‘Mad Robbie’ who roams the high street – this is a touching and vibrant story of community, modern life and relationships, until finally, our couple are forced out of their own shop and off on their hols.

Join us for a comedy that could be happening on your front doorstep; want anything from the shop?

Seagull Theatre Productions
We are a brand new, Barking based, theatre company who works closely with local talent to produce spectacular shows, ranging from complete originals to classics and even some modern day staples!

We aim to change up the theatrical landscape by making accessibility, inclusivity and diversity standard practice, while also providing opportunities for underrepresented communities and all.

So far our biggest accomplishment is having our first show confirmed and being performed at The Space Theatre, and we’re sure there’s much more to come in the upcoming future!

”Just the messenger. And I’m just saying…
I don’t remember a time you both weren’t in the shop.
Just…right here. You’re practically part of the walls at this point.
I’m not on her side but…a holiday just might sort all…this…out.”
