Faust and The Seven Sins

Four hundred years after selling his soul, Faustus is still trapped in Hell.

Now he has one final chance to plead his way into Heaven. To prove himself worthy, he must surrender his body and soul to the seven deadly sins: Gluttony, Greed, Lust, Envy, Pride, Sloth and Wrath.

Watched by Mephistopheles and a mysterious saint, Faustus enters a dangerous trial that forces him to confront the desires that condemned him. But as each sin takes hold, salvation threatens to destroy what remains of him.

Inspired by Christopher Marlowe’s Doctor Faustus, this new adaptation combines physical theatre, live improvised music, an unsettling soundscape and direct audience interaction. Co-directed by Robert Carey Elwood and Jacob Rogers Proctor, Faust & the 7 Sins is a visceral exploration of temptation, compulsion, recovery and redemption.

Can a soul shaped by sin ever be cleansed—or is the pursuit of salvation another form of damnation?

Seraphim Studios is a neurodivergent-led multidisciplinary theatre company founded in London in 2026 by producer Laura Jane Yee, writer, director and actor Jacob Rogers Proctor, and writer and director Robert Carey Elwood. The company reimagines classical texts through physical performance, live music, the Chekhov method and Theatre of Cruelty, while creating accessible and collaborative processes for neurodivergent artists. Laura previously produced Bad Productions Studios’ inaugural show, Bad Indian, which sold out its previews at Greenwich Theatre and secured a Hong Kong tour. Jacob and Robert graduated from LAMDA in 2025, completing an MFA in Classical Acting and an MA in Directing and Dramaturgy respectively. Faust & the 7 Sins is Seraphim Studios’ inaugural production.
