Sukoon & Junoon - Bollywood Acoustic Night
4 Sep - 4 SepBollywood was never meant to be background noise.
Desi Adda London brings you Sukoon × Junoon — a live acoustic band night spanning the full golden age of Hindi film music. From the timeless soul of Kishore Kumar and Mohammad Rafi, through the romantic era of Kumar Sanu and Udit Narayan, into the indie warmth of KK and Atif Aslam, right up to the voices defining today — Arijit Singh, Diljit Dosanjh and beyond.
Set inside the intimate warmth of The Space, a converted church in the heart of East London’s docklands, expect curated lighting, live vocals, acoustic guitar, cajón and bass — and a room full of people who know every word.
Grab a seat or find your feet — the night has room for both.
Slow songs for the soul. Fast songs for the feet. One night, every feeling.
Desi Adda London. Live. Acoustic. Bollywood.
Desi Adda London was born not on a stage, but at Kingston Carnival — Gautam on vocals, Ganesh on cajón, and a shared love of Bollywood that neither of them could keep quiet. What started as a community performance grew into something neither expected: a band, a brand, and a movement. Gautam comes from a strong musical family background and fronts the band as lead vocalist, bringing together Partho on acoustic guitar — a seasoned musician who has performed alongside renowned Coke Studio artists — Ganesh on cajón, who brings a classical foundation having trained on the mridangam, and Ron on bass, who led his own band back in India before bringing that energy to London stages. Since that first carnival, Desi Adda has performed at Kingston River Festival, Diwali celebrations across South West London, and community stages throughout the city. In 2026 the band made the leap to ticketed events — and haven’t looked back. Surbiton, Hounslow Ravens Ait, Canary Wharf, Sutton, Manchester, Croydon. Every single one a full house.
But the numbers aren’t what Desi Adda is proudest of. It’s the audience members who travel across London just to sing along. The faces that return show after show. The connections that outlast the evening. That’s the remit. Not just to play music — but to build memories that last long after the last note fades.
“No backing tracks, no Auto-Tune, no safety net. Just us, you, and forty years of Bollywood. Let’s see what happens.”
