Doom & Glitter XL

11 Jul - 11 Jul

The award-winning theatrical cabaret band Doom & Glitter are best known for their five-star Edinburgh Fringe Show ‘A Tribute To Tom Waits’ which embodies the eccentric spirit of the blues to deliver an interactive audience experience like no other. For their
very special pre-Fringe appearance at The Space, live in London and around the world via global livestream, Doom & Glitter XL brings together the full Waits experience with an extended set of legendary rock covers, jazz standards and D&G’s incredible new
shift into celtic EDM fusion.

This is the full variety of the band for one night only to raise funds for their 2026 Edinburgh journey, and it promises to be a truly unmissable night.

Band frontman and lead producer Mr Brake Down is a transgender drag king whose love of literature, pop culture, and
the stage collide in a bold, magnetic performance persona. By day, he crafts worlds through horror writing, poetry, novels, and
plays; by night, armed with eyeliner, sequins, and a smouldering voice, he commands the stage with live singing, sharp comedy, and transformative character work. A versatile performer and charismatic host, Brake is a five-star rated Edinburgh Fringe performer, with multiple award nominations and wins to his name. He is the creative force behind Upside Down Cabaret, Chester’s premier monthly queer variety show at The Live Rooms, and regularly appears on stages at Pride events, festivals, and theatres across the UK.

Band member and multi-instrumentalist Sophie Siobhan has been making music all her life, originally signed to produce
albums in her younger years and another life pre-transition. Now she’s out and proud as her true self, Sophie is bursting
with talent and contributes vocals, keys, sax, flute, guitar and everything else she can get her hands on to Doom & Glitter’s
unique sound.

Han Deacon (he/him), otherwise known as Edinburgh’s own Daddy Delight, takes to the stage as a multi-instrumentalist and rhythm master for Doom & Glitter as part of the 2026 lineup, making this the first time the band has had a 100% trans lineup. Percussion, sax, even a cheeky recorder – what instrument will he pull next, and from where? That’s for you to find out in the all new Doom & Glitter, now 25% more trans than ever before!

Behind the music and lending her rhythm and bass guitar talents when she’s needed is musical director Sian Peters, an electronic music performer and recording artist in her own right, who has previously worked with nationally renowned queer choir the Proud Marys and numerous theatrical and musical festivals and establishments.
