Into The Light...
10 Apr - 10 AprFOR ONE NIGHT ONLY – aspiring comedians take to the stage for charity. Come along for the giggle and support this magnificent event with tickets starting at £10 and 50% being donated to charity
What happens when you take people facing life’s toughest battles—cancer, loss, and deep-seated insecurity—and give them a microphone? You get happily ever after, a comedy showcase that proves finding the funny is the best way to find yourself.
Originally started as a daring charity stunt, these rookie comedians discovered that stand-up wasn’t just a performance; it was a lifeline. Over the last year, they’ve traded hospital gowns for punchlines and self-doubt for standing ovations.
Meet the Lineup:
* The Fighter: One performer took to the stage to find something scarier than chemotherapy—and won.
* The Truth-Tellers: Two women confront their younger insecurities to celebrate the power of the women they’ve become.
* The Believer: A hilarious look at the childhood experiences that shaped a lifelong faith.
* The Triathlete of Laughs: A candid, side-splitting journey through the literal ups and downs of a personal fitness transformation.
This isn’t just a comedy show; it’s a celebration of human resilience. It’s about the joy found in the darkest corners and the lifelong friendships forged under the spotlight. Come for the laughs, stay for the heart, and help us raise vital funds for charity.
Welcome to Laughter United-The best medicine collective, a comedy group formed of ordinary people who turned negative past experiences into comical gigs, bringing joy and sparkle to the lives of others.
Laughter United, is the classic example of laughing in the face of adversity, transforming horror stories into positive experiences with a funny twist. Each act brings unique, real-life experiences to the stage for your enjoyment.
What started out as 40 individuals signing up to a comedy challenge for charity, has now become an ongoing mission to turn difficult circumstances into lighthearted fun, not only for the comics, but for those in need of uplifting, whether they are in hospital, a care home, or just need comical respite for a few hours after work, and with that, Laughtercare was born.
