It’s been a really, really bad day at work.
Stuck in the miserable baggage reclaim department at an unnamed airport, employees Sandra and Gerri must introduce CJ into her new job. However, not everything is as it seems. Personal attacks, heated arguments and a game breaching GDPR regulations threaten to ruin the delicate balance the characters have created, all while the ominous presence of HR looms just out of sight.
From the minds of E.F Nicholson, R.L Millar and O. Hespe, Baggage Reclaim is a piece of new writing produced by Oida! Theatre; an exploration of identity, perception, and challenging interpersonal relationships.
Run by creative co-directors Rebecca Millar (she/they) and Elissa Nicholson (she/her), Oida! Theatre Ltd aims to create pieces of new writing that are thought-provoking, playful, and eclectic, putting womxn at the forefront of our narratives.
Since 2022, Oida! has taken three shows to stage: Anathena, Now & Then: I Think of You and Baggage Reclaim.i Our work explores the many intricacies of the feminine experience, whether positive or negative. We seek not to provide definitive answers but to challenge ourselves, our collaborators, and our audiences to ask questions.

For us, it’s all about the journey; The freedom and joy that the creative process provides. It’s not about having a perfect production on the first draft, but continually exploring new ideas, developing new skills, and evolving with the pieces we make.
We want to build a strong, supportive circle of womxn creatives. We believe that we have a responsibility to lift as we climb and are keen to support other theatre-makers and artists as we grow ourselves.
