For the third year, the Space returns to the Crossrail Place Roof Garden this summer with two exciting showcases of budding artists.

The Early Bloom Arts Festival takes place in May – join us for four days of drama, music, spoken word, dance and much, much more as we celebrate talent from across the East End.

Family-friendly performances will be taking place Thursday 18th to Sunday 21st May, the Festival is free for all to attend.

Performance Schedule (more acts to be confirmed):

18th May
7pm –¬†Jay Yule and Tommy Cattin – Sorry Flowers Die– contemporary dance.
7:30pm РJudah, 19 year old talented musician performs I will wait EP Рpop/soul music performance with some hip-hop influences.

19th May
7pm РJessica Mance performs Half A World Away, written by Isabel Dixon.
7:15pm –¬†The Insiders – Rolling Stones Americanah¬†– live music.

20th May
12 noon – National Youth Jazz Orchestra London –¬†A¬†collection of classic jazz, swing and latin numbers.
1pm РJessica Mance performs Half A World Away, written by Isabel Dixon.
1:15pm – Pollyanna Performance Choir- A selection of musical numbers from the likes of Jess Glynne to Charlie & the Chocolate Factory.
1.45pm РNewham Music Рclassical music played by young performers from Newham.
2:30pm РShkembe Soup РLive music and dance from around the world. Let your ears be delighted by songs from Egypt, Hungary and East London, and your eyes feast on swirling skirts and golden wings.
3:30pm – Swati Seshadri –¬†The dance performance takes the audience on a resplendent journey through the wonders of Indian culture.
4:30pm – Jay Yule and Tommy Cattin – Sorry Flowers Die– contemporary dance.

21st May
12 noon – Grace Mason –¬†¬†A range of R&B and pop covers – live musical performance.
12:30pm – Jay Yule and Tommy Cattin – Sorry Flowers Die– contemporary dance.
1pm – Embrace Dance – dance performance by young people.
1:30pm – Ideachor Performance Group¬†–¬† As You Reach – dance performance.
1:45pm – Sunday Assembly Jazz Collective –¬†From crowd pleasers like Girl from Ipanema to forgotten classics like Cherokee and Ill Wind.
2:30pm – Jay Yule and Tommy Cattin – Sorry Flowers Die– contemporary dance.
3pm – Ideachor Performance Group¬†–¬† As You Reach – dance performance.
3:30pm – Katherine Lockton – spoken word and poetry performance.

Crossrail Place Roof Garden events

All tickets for events at the Crossrail Place Roof Garden are free. A limited number of tickets are available to book in advance with the remainder available on the door.

Ticket bookers must arrive 15 minutes before the event is due to start or their seats may be released. You can find directions to the Crossrail Place Roof Garden here.

The Crossrail Place Roof Garden performance space is an outdoor (covered) amphitheatre. Seating is unreserved.
