Two fools take to the stage to lead you on a poetic journey through the most surreal, silly and forgotten parts of your imagination. This is children’s poetry for adults. Taking inspiration from Spike Milligan and Edward Lear, Lewis Carroll and Dr Seuss, two performers create scenes, stories and sketches out of a handful of props and some silly poems, to enthral and entertain you.
‘Performed with such energy, devotion, innocence and heart, that before you know it, you are hooked, you are laughing, and most of all, you feel for the characters.’– A Younger Theatre
‘Like the love child of Dr Seuss and Edgar Allen Poe spliced with a touch of Lewis Carroll absurdity.’– Sabotage Reviews
Georgie Jones is a performance poet and storyteller originally from a small town in Lincolnshire. She tells lyrical stories with honesty, charisma and wit; her performance style was once described as ‘delightfully dry’ which, for someone who sports a sweaty palm more often than not, she will take as a compliment. Georgie has written and performed poetry in theatres, at festivals, in pubs and at weddings all over the country and she is currently developing her first full-length spoken word show as a Resident Artist at the Roundhouse.
Maria is a German showgirl, ex-Cirque De Sol and now Cabaret Artist. Â She brings song, lip-sync and a little bit of saucy Burlesque.
Emerging Theatre Company concerned with the old. Dedicated to bringing life to forgotten stories and history, returning to The Space with some sketch comedy.
Truly loves nothing more than parties and presents, so Christmas is her favourite time of year! She’s very excited to light up The Space with her own brand of Christmas cheer. Whatever happens, you’re sure to be entertained and you might also learn something you never knew about Santa Claus!
By day, Simon fights crime (he’s not Batman) wearing a cape (sort of. He’s really, really not Batman though). Simon is best described as an intellectual Pygmy and a teller of tall tales. He is the funniest barrister you’ll ever see doing comedy, apart from Clive Anderson, although he has marginally more hair than him, so there’s that.
She is a superb singer with strong movement and physical skills that enhance her truthful and engaging performance style
