What’s the most interesting journey you’ve ever taken?
Sharing Stories is a new inter-generational storytelling project aimed to unite people from all over the Isle of Dogs. By sharing stories we get to know each other, our neighbours old and new, and learn about the community that surround us. By sharing stories we encourage new voices, we build communication skills and we inspire others.
We are looking for participants of all ages to share personal stories on the theme of journeys. Our community groups will use your story as inspiration to create new short plays that will be performed in a mini-festival at the Space, during the week of July 10th 2017.
If you’d like to get involved – either by sharing a story, or by joining in – we’d love to hear from you!
If you would like to share a story, e-mail Guleraana Mir at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Interviews will take place at the Space on Monday evenings, Storytelling Saturdays (4th, 18th March and 6th May), or we can arrange a visit to you.
If you would like to take part in writing or performing the plays, you can join our SpaceWorks community theatre company. Participation is free and includes master classes in writing and acting.
