Feeling Hungry? A Little Lunch Music might just be the Ticket
Written by Alex Stronghill

The Space Theatre is happy to announce that its very popular lunchtime concerts A Little Lunch Music is back. For the feasting delights of the audience, David Grindleys recital series returns after a well earned Christmas break. Having re-charged the batteries, A Little Lunch Music is ready to run again.

Isle of Dogs resident David Grindley has been a volunteer at the Space for nearly two years. His passion for Classical Music led him to organise a series of lunchtime recitals with students from Trinity College of Music, the next season of which begins on 27th January 2010. David also has Cerebral Palsy, which makes his achievements with the show even more brilliant.

I hope they [the shows] are better than ever, we have put a lot of hard work into getting these recitals out there. They were very popular when we originally opened and we are just as eager for more people to discover this lunchtime gem, said David as he looks forward to the first show which opens next Wednesday, 12 noon.

Performed fortnightly, the production has become a great feature in the Theatre s busy program. Giving young performers from the Trinity College of Music the chance to play these types of shows and for audiences to see these wonderful talents perform is what these concerts are all about, responded David when asked about the beauty of the shows.

Known for their great warmth and exciting musical presence, A Little Lunch Music, the extremely popular and lowly price of just 1 pound to watch the recital, or a mere 5 pound for the recital followed by lunch has further accounted for the event s success.

David was also eager to point out that The shows are all about the atmosphere and interaction with the performers. This is evident at the end of recitals, when the musicians are found among the audience, enjoying the lunch on offer and having a friendly chat with them and their peers.

A Little Lunch Music is perfect for those in need of entertainment and interaction or who just want a break during a busy and hectic week.

There is no need to break the bank for good food and entertainment. This just goes to prove it.

Raving audiences have described the shows and venue as Excellent, 10 out of 10, Well organised, The staff were helpful and polite, The food was great, real value for money.
